Birthday Parties
Our private birthday party package gives you exclusive access to all of our
facilities and offers the opportunity for participants to ride
and discover the amazingly intuitive nature of the horse.
How it works:
- The child who is celebrating their birthday will get to choose the horse that they would like to ride for the duration of the party. (Under some circumstances, their choice may not be suitable for them, so we reserve the right to assign an alternate choice.)
- We start with a safety talk while we fit the riders with helmets and boots. (We have a selection of both helmets and footwear that can be borrowed!)
- The birthday rider will ride for one full hour, while the rest of the party will be split into two groups. The first group will ride for approx. 30 minutes while the second group is in the barn learning about horse behaviour and anatomy while learning how to brush the horse. After 30 minutes, the groups will switch.
- After the riding portion, all participants head into the lounge (heated in the winter!) If you brought a cake or other refreshments and snacks, the children can enjoy these while the Harrogate staff unsaddle the horses and put them away.
- After refreshments we take all of the riders, equipped with carrots, on a tour of the barn where they get to meet the rest of the horses and give them treats!
Please note: If needed, all riders including the birthday rider will have a trained assistant with them at all times.

Cost:
$450.00 + HST for a maximum of 6 participants including the birthday rider. ($65 for each additional participant, can accommodate up to 11 riders, ages 6+)
Each participant must have a signed waiver by a parent/guardian.
